Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Hey all,

I hope you had a great holiday weekend with your loved ones! My weekend was pretty awesome: I was in Rochester for my friend's graduation on Saturday and came back home on Sunday night. Today, I had a fun picnic in the park with friends. We had a great time, shared great food, played games, dipped our toes in the cool water... it was dreamy! Thank you all for an amazing day!
My outfit was very simple: I wore high-waist shorts with a very retro feel. Those are from F21 and a similar pair me be found here, but my aim is to get my hands on a vintage pair... need to get back to thrifting! My tank top is from Old Navy- bought it for $2 yesterday! WooHoo for Memorial Day Sales! It does scoop really low though... not Frisbee friendly :(
Here are a few pics; enjoy!

xoxo, D.

It was an awesome day!

Hair Mechanics: The esiest curls in the universe... NO HEAT, TEN MINUTES!

Hello Bloggers!

I hope you are doing positively awesome. This post will be somewhat different: no OOTD, but rather a really neat method to curl your hair if you are lazy, in a hurry, worried about heat damage or... heck, just looking for awesome curls. I came across this here, on a blog called "Moms who wear High Heels and Swear" ( aka, my awesome mommy :) ) and it looked so easy it was ridiculous.
I gave it a shot, and it came out awesome. I used it for my "I love Sequinssssss" post, for my graduation and now here. You only need ONE item: a headband. That's it!

Don't forget to leave me a comment and follow :)

Enjoy! :P

I loved my makeup that day :P

Who said beige was boring???

Hello Bloggers!

Today is the end of a very eventful week: tons of birthdays, papers, finals, ceremonies and laughter. I had an amazing time hanging out with friends, meeting their families, and I believe more than ever that life is exactly what you make it. You can be anyone or anything you want, as long as you are willing to work for it. I feel very grateful for all the blessings coming my way, and I believe there will be a lot more.

On to the outfit: My friend Fonnie celebrated her birthday on Tuesday. I truly had no time whatsoever to get ready ; I therefore went with this sequined and beaded number from French Connection (got it deeply discounted in a NC boutique last summer, Yay! This one is somewhat similar). It was the first time I wore it, and I was pleasantly surprised by how comfy it is. I paired it with a black tie belt I have owned for ages- no clue where I got it from. Enjoy!

Sunday Brunch: I love Sequinssssss!

Hello Bloggers!

I hope you are all doing great.  I am the happiest chick out there: school is over! I will be graduating in a week and won't have to study again for a long, long time. I went out for brunch last week for an early celebration (yes, I started rejoicing a while ago) and opted for this outfit.  It was actually inspired by this post, from Folake over at (she is awesome.)

My sequin blouse is from a thrift store and cost $4.00! Best buy ever; all black sequins, with some beading detail. The pants are high-waisted pants from H&M. I wanted their riding pants so badly... I could not get them, but these are not bad at all :) . My issue is that they were short, so I had to take down the hem to gain an inch or two.

The shoes are DIY cap toes! Here, find a video showing how I made them.

Have an awesome day!
